Concepción came to Clínica Bona on the recommendation of her son Carlos, who has been our patient for years and has had orthodontic and implant treatment with us. Conchi, as she likes to be called, was comfortable with her removable upper denture (plates) but wanted something that didn't cover her palate and would allow her to eat better and improve her appearance because her denture looked very worn. During the first visit, we explained the importance of a complete rehabilitation to restore the functionality and balance of her bite. We explained the option of a semi-fixed system in the upper jaw – IMPLANTS WITH AN OVERDENTURE – and GUIDED SURGERY IMPLANTS in the lower jaw combined with PORCELAIN VENEERS.

Step by step treatment plan:

1. Diagnosis and planning: photographic study, CT scan and digital scan.
2. Guided surgery in a single session:
1. 4 implants in the lower jaw with immediate loading (teeth in 24 hours)
2. Removal of remaining teeth and placement of temporary teeth
3. Guided surgery in the upper jaw: 6 implants + bone graft + placement of temporary teeth.
4. After 6 months: second surgery in the upper jaw and taking measurements
5. Upper jaw passivity test
6. Colour validation and upper jaw bar try-in + teeth in the lower jaw
7. Fitting of overdenture on bar (upper jaw) and fixed crowns with porcelain veneers (lower jaw)

Result: a balanced and functional bite, allowing her to enjoy food again without any worries.
